Mini Cooper S R56 racecar, freshly built 3 years ago and not raced. This car was custom built, with all equipment listed below and has only been used on track days a few times. It is a quick and competitive car and could be used in many series such as cscc, ctcrc, castle combe saloons, mini challenge cooper s class amongst others.

The base car is a low mileage (circa 50k miles) 1,6 Cooper S, and the car has been built and maintained to a very high level, with no expense spared and produced around 240bhp, tuned by West Tuning.

Freshly rebuilt for the 2024 Race of Remembrance with fresh engine, 6-speed gearbox and newly serviced AST dampers. *Massive* spares package (see kit list in photos), extra gearbox, engine, bodywork etc, and an extra set of wheels with tyres.

Sadly, one of the driver sponsors pulled out at the last minute, so the car is loaded and ready to race with packed kit boxes.

The car was originally built for the R50 Challenge but was converted to R56 spec during covid to compete in the Deutche Marques series. We bought the car in 2021 and returned it to R50 spec to run in the Scottish SMRC Mini competition and Race of Remembrance. So the car currently has a normally aspirated 1.6 with a 4 branch Gravity exhaust manifold, Cooper S six-speed gearbox (with Blackline limited slip diff, and TTV lightweight flywheel) and AST suspension. The car retains all original R50 challenge-specific equipment – Mini Challenge stamped 6-point roll cage, Moma Daytona Safari racing seats, OMP 6-point harnesses, 4-lite fire extinguisher, button electrical cut-off, aluminium undertray, wing etc. The car is currently in RoR spec but only needs a change of springs (supplied) and an ECU to change back to Trophy spec.

As this is a retirement sale, there is also a vast spares package. I've got a shipping container full of bodywork, engines, gearboxes, and various spares that will accompany the sale.

Prepped and ready to go for the 2025 season, the 2024 Mini Challenge Clubsport Cooper class championship-winning car is available to buy. I would also consider hiring for track days, testing or racing.

A considerable amount of work has gone into this car, all work has been carried out by Norfolk Mini since I’ve owned it, 1 race into the 2023 Mini Challenge Clubsport season.

Safety Devices roll cage, Powerflex bushes, Mini Challenge brake discs and pads - 1 meeting old, AST 5100 coilovers, Mini Challenge clutch kit, 6 speed gearbox conversion, Team Dynamics 1.2 wheels.

Over the course of 2023, it had – new fuel pump and filter, a refreshed head, new radiator, 6 speed gearbox with new clutch, new calipers all round, and refurbished AST 5100 dampers.

Silverstone National – 2 3rd places with a race 3 win
Donington – Pole position and race 1 win, 3rd in race 2. Endurance race win and fastest lap.

Brands Hatch Indy – Pole position, 3 race wins and 3 fastest laps
Castle Combe – Pole position, 3 race wins and 3 fastest laps
Thruxton – Pole position, 3 race wins and fastest lap in race 3
Donington National – Pole position, 2nd in race 1 and wins in races 2 and 3, with fastest lap in race 3
Croft – Pole position, 3 race wins with fastest lap in race 2

All results are checkable on TSL timing and look for Mini Challenge Clubsport. You can also view the races on the BARC YouTube channel – most notable mention from 2024 is the first round at Brands Hatch, race 3. Thruxton race 3 is also a great watch, as is Donington!

It finished every race it started with no mechanicals, which is testament to the prep work completed by Gary at Norfolk Mini.

I can offer setup advice, dependent on the tyres you run.

You will need your own seat and harness as I've taken the ones out that are in the images. I do potentially have a spare seat and harness to go in - to be discussed.
